Postdoc positions - Optical Nanomaterials Postdoc

Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in Optical Nanomaterials Integration: The Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT; Los Alamos Gateway) is seeking postdoctoral candidates to join our research effort in optical nanomaterials integration. The project will focus on developing novel approaches toward integration of chemically synthesized nanomaterials (nanocrystals, nanowires and metal-semiconductor hybrid nanostructures) into all-inorganic opto-electronic devices. The successful candidate will have direct access to advanced semiconductor fabrication and characterizations facilities existing at the CINT Los Alamos Gateway and the CINT Sandia Core facility (http://cint.lanl.gov). The candidate will work closely with multiple CINT scientists - Han Htoon, Jennifer A. Hollingsworth, and Quanxi Jia. Outstanding candidates may be considered for a Director's Postdoctoral Fellowship, and truly exceptional candidates for the prestigious J. Robert Oppenheimer and Frederick Reines Fellowships.

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements: A strong background in one or more of the following areas: semiconductor device physics and process technology, thin-film deposition techniques including sputtering, CVD, PVD, ALD, photo/e-beam lithography, solution-phase synthesis methods for high-quality semiconductor thin-film growth, characterization techniques including SEM, TEM, AFM. XRD. Candidates with strong backgrounds in fabrication and characterization of organic optoelectronic and photo-voltaic devices are also highly encouraged to apply.

Education: A Ph.D. in a relevant field, completed within the last five years or soon to be completed is required.

Additional Details

Notes to Applicants: For additional technical inquiries and to apply, contact Han Htoon ( htoon(a)lanl.gov , 505-665-5444) and/or Jennifer A. Hollingsworth (jenn(a)lanl.gov , 505-665-0399).

Pre-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a pre-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Candidates may be considered for a Director's Fellowship and outstanding candidates may be considered for the prestigious Marie Curie, Richard P. Feynman, J. Robert Oppenheimer, or Frederick Reines Fellowships.
