The Chemical Transducers Group (GTQ), a TECNIO centre at the Barcelona Institute of Microelectronics (IMB-CNM, CSIC), is seeking candidates for the second call of the Tecniospring-Marie Curie program. Successful candidates will be granted a 2 year contract (€56.000/year). Deadline for proposals is 19th of April.
Description:
Experienced researcher candidates are expected to develop an applied research project with focus on technology transfer. The topic of the project should be in the area of interest of the GTQ (micro/nano-technology based chemical sensors and Lab-on-a-chip devices). They may contact César Fernández (cesar.fernandez@imb-cnm.csic.es) or Antonio Baldi (antoni.baldi@imb-cnm.csic.es) to get to an agreement on the project proposal topic. Ongoing research work of GTQ in collaboration with companies (5 projects) is related to home care medical devices, high throughput clinical analysis equipment, electronic tongue systems, and water quality monitoring.
Requirements:
- Hold a doctoral degree and four additional years of full-time research experience after obtaining it; or have at least eight years of full-time equivalent research experience, including the period of research training, after obtaining the degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate;
- Have at least one year of experience in applied research and/or technology transfer activities (R&D projects involving companies, patents licensing or spin offs);
- Have experience in the management of research groups.
- The researcher must not have resided or carried out her/his main activity (work, studies) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 2 years immediately prior to the deadline for the submission of applications. As an exception, only for properly detailed and justified career breaks, experienced researchers will be eligible if they have not resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 3 years in the 5 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of proposals.
