This post-doctoral position is part of a collaborative project funded by the LABEX SERENADE (Safe(r) Ecodesign Research and Education applied to NAnomaterial DEvelopment). Labex SERENADE aims to build a dynamic network of academic research laboratories and industries to design tomorrow’s nanomaterials that will be safer for both humans and the environment.

This project combines academic and industrial expertise in physico-chemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology (academic Partners: CEREGE, LEMIRE, M2P2, LITEN-LR2N, CIRAD, CEINT (Duke university, USA; Companies: SUEZ, ALLIOS, LOTUS SYNTHESIS) to develop nanomaterials that will not alter the functioning of waste water treatment plants and the valorization (energetic and agricultural) of biosolids.

We have funding for a post-doctoral researcher for 2 years (starting as soon as possible), to investigate the behavior and impact of nanomaterials in pilot scale aerobic and anaerobic bioreactors. We will use a complete set of techniques representing a powerful investigation platform from the atomic to the micrometric scale (X-ray tomography, XRD, XAS, µXRF, NMR, etc.). The studies will be conducted on laboratory wastewater biological treatment plants.

The candidate has to provide a CV and detailed information of his (her) research experience, his (her) scientific production and recommendation letters.

Location:
M2P2 and CEREGE, Europôle de l’Arbois, 13545 Aix en Provence.

Skill: Chemical Engineering PhD with knowledge in biological wastewater treatment, and physico-chemistry.
