One Postdoctoral Position in Nano and Bio-interfaces group is available
Applications are invited for one postdoctoral position for a project entitled “Microfluidic Devices to Enhance the Overall Capturing Efficiencies of Circulating Tumour Cells (CTCs)” at Center for Nano and Material Sciences (CNMS), Jain University, Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Ph.D in Chemistry/Nanoscience/Nanotechnology, freshers with their thesis submitted are also eligible.
2. Good experimental skills in any one or more fields: microfluidics, bio interfaces, nano bio, material science, nanoscience, nanotechnology is required.
3. Proficiency with the English language is required.
4. The ability to work closely and collaborate with colleagues is a must.

Conditions of employment:
The university offers a salary of Rs 35,000/- per month. Appointment is for 1 year, and can be extended to 2-3 years based on performance. Candidate must work independently, should take the initiative, and supervise PhD and master students as and when required.

About project:
The main focus of the project is to design and fabricate novel microfluidic devices right from drawing in Auto CAD software or related software to making the devices in PDMS/glass material in clean room facilities for various applications including in capturing CTCs, biosensing, separation science, water analysis etc. The work is not limited to these areas but can be extended to any other potential areas of research. Candidate should look for every opportunity to publish, collaborate, and bring additional expertise to the group.
