Openings for Researchers and Technicians at Center of Nanotechnology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Center of nanotechnology at King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah Saudi Arabia is a multi-million dollars state-of-the art facility with a 200 m2 level 1000 clean room area. The center plans to strengthen its manpower with well established researchers and experienced technical assistants (Technicians). Presently, six positions of researchers and ten positions of technicians are available. All above stated positions are open to both Saudi and International expertise particularly regional ones.
All the candidates applying for the position of researchers should have specialization in one of the following nanotechnology disciplines;
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST OF RESEARCHERS
Applicants are advised that selection will be based on the following criterion :
a) The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree with a specialization in nanoscience & nanotechnology from a reputed institute.
b) The applicant should have to his credit at least five years of experience in a world class institute / center of nanotechnology. Priority will be given to researchers who had the opportunity to gain such an experience in a developed industrial country.
c) The applicant should have to his credit at least 30 publications in high impact international nanotechnology journals.
d) Number of nanotechnology patents registered to the name of the researcher will be added a qualification for the selection.
e) Team spirit and attitude is highly appreciated and plays an important role for consideration.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST OF TECHNICIANS
The applicants applying for technical assistants (Technicians) should have the following qualifications:
a) Master degree in nanotechnology from an accredited university in the field of nanotechnology.
b) Three years of lab experience in an institute / center of nanotechnology, preferably in a developed country.
c) Exhibit high familiarity with both nanofabrication and nano characterization equipment.
e) Applicants are expected to communicate fluently in English.
The deadline for submitting the applications is June 07, 2011. The selected candidates are expected to join by the end of Oct. 2011. Packages will be based on the individual's qualification, experience and publications.

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.
