National Conference NAKNOW FIESTA 2k11 At Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi

About Nanoscience and Technology in MEPCO

To be in pace with the upcoming technologies, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College has started a P.G. Degree course (M.Tech) on Nanoscience and Technology (NST) from the academic year 2007 affiliated to Anna University, Tirunelveli. NST under the department of Mechanical Engineering is well committed to grooming technically competent engineers and researchers in cutting edge technologies. The NST faculties are involved in various research areas such as Nanocomposites, Superhydrophobic Surfaces, Biocompatible dendrimer based nano drug delivery, Nanofluidics, Self heeling coatings using nano capsules etc., The well equipped laboratories, dedicated faculty members, research oriented curriculum has made NST to grow greater heights.

Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi, located about 10kms from Sivakasi and 15kms from Virudhunagar is one of the reputed private Engineering colleges started under self-financing scheme on 17th October,1984. This is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution which is established by the Mepco Schlenk Charities, a social welfare organization of The Metal Powder Company, Tirumangalam. According to the latest competition succes review-GHRDC Engineering colleges survey 2010, MEPCO ranks 3rd place among the top engineering colleges in Tamil nadu and 25th Rank among National-level Engineering Colleges including IITs and NITs.

Objectives of NAkNOw FIESTA 2011

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at

Dr. András Paszternák, founder of Nanopaprika
