REGISTRATION, ABSTRACT SUBMISSION, and ACCOMMODATION ARE NOW OPEN!

Key dates:

Abstract submission – 31st May 2014

Early bird registration – 31st May 2014

MM2014 is organized by the Association of Molecular Modellers of Australasia (AMMA). It will be held in the Gold Coast hinterland in South-East Queensland in the lush rainforest of Lamington National Park, at the O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat. It is sponsored by the University of Queensland, Griffith University, National Computational Infrastructure, QFAB, Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation.

Themes of the conference include:

•                 molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry simulations of (bio)materials

•                 methodological developments in hierarchical modelling,

•                computer-aided drug design and cheminformatics

•                non-equilibrium simulation methods

•                Nano-materials

The meeting is organized similarly to a Gordon Conference. Presentations will be held in the morning, late afternoon and evening with time in the afternoon and over the evening meals to interact with other delegates and enjoy the unique location.  There will be joint sessions as well as specialist parallel sessions.

The main conference will be on Thursday 31 July–Saturday 2 August 2014.

The conference will be preceded by a 1-day symposium for PhD students and early-career researchers (Wednesday 30 July) providing the opportunity for students to interact with each other as well as some of the MM2014 plenary speakers.

MM2014 will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the latest international trends in computational research and to present your work to members of the modelling community in an idyllic location.

MM2014 is also an official satellite of the 18th IUPAB Congress organized by the Australian Society for Biophysics (ASB) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre August 3-7 2014.

We hope to see you all at MM2014,

Debra Bernhardt and Alan Mark (co-organisers)
