Expressions of interest are sought for the role of the Lead Microscopist Titan Krios within the Clive and Vera Ramaciotti Centre for Structural Cryo-Electron Microscopy (CVRCSCEM) in the Faculty of Biomedical and Psychological Sciences. The Lead Microscopist Titan Krios will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the newly acquired FEI Titan Krios instrument. In this role you will also provide expertise, support and training in cryo electron microscopy to enable related research and teaching activities of the University.
As the successful applicant you will have expertise in:
- the operation of a cryo-TEM (experience with any FEI Tecnai and/or Titan Krios microscope is a plus)
- the handling of cryogenic samples and cryoEM sample preparation
- manual and/or automated image acquisition of cryo samples for single particle analysis and/or cryo-tomography.
