IWCCMP-2014 is aimed at bringing together the scientific and technical community, to share their knowledge in the recent trends on the advanced materials, its applications and various computational techniques for predicting their various properties at bulk as well as nano scale. Eminent scientists in the respective fields will share their experience and knowledge with the young participants, which in turn are expected to promote research activities on the advanced materials. Owing to advancement of technologies, sophisticated tools have been used to synthesize, characterize and model materials and chemical behavior at the length scale where this behavior is controlled. This ability is transformational for the discovery process and as a result confers a significant competitive advantage. The most spectacular increase in capability has been demonstrated in high performance computing. This rate of improvement has shown no signs of abating which has enabled the development of computer simulations and models of unprecedented fidelity.

With the overwhelming response of participants in IWCCMP-2013, we have tried to put our best possible effort in adding few new features to its 2014 version by adding hands on session cum tutorial for first four days and dedicated two days conference on Advanced Materials: Experiment and Theory. The workshop cum conference is scheduled from 25-30 November, 2014 at ABV-IIITM Campus, Gwalior.

This workshop is an outcome of the four successful conferences organized by us in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013, where we have received number of request by the young participants to plan 2013 version workshop specially on the various open source as well as license tools of ab-initio/first principle calculations available for the prediction of variety of materials as well as device properties. And this year, we have added a two days special conference session for paper presentations. The workshop will be of great importance in the sense that it will be attended by young chemists, physicists, biologists and engineers making it truly interdisciplinary in nature so as to not only learn the methods but also to share their research findings on preparation, analysis of structure and other properties in the macro to nano scale and their possible application in the medicine, automotive, chemical, electronics and electrical engineering. It is also aimed to sensitize the young participants in the current areas of materials science so as to make them instrumental in pursuing quality research.

In this event, On behalf of my organising committee and my personal behalf, I invite you to submit your latest research contribution fitted to the theme of the workshop/conference for its possible presentation (Oral/Poster) during IWCCMP-2014.

Important Deadlines:

Submission of full Paper:  15th Sep. 2014

  • I am ready to make a Tutorial Course “Knowledge Base is a Future of Nanotechnology World”.

    I mean a knowledge base as the calculation information tool (knowledge-based system) which:
    - Contains all relationships between all variables of an object (nanomaterial characteristics and parameters of the production technology);
    - Allows us to compute the values of a part of variables through others;
    - Allows us to solve both direct and inverse problems,
    - Allows us to predict the characteristics and properties of nanomaterials that have not been investigated yet;
    - Allows you to predict the parameters of the technological process for a creation of the new nanomaterials with the desired characteristics.
    I have a large experience in a creation of the Knowledge Bases in various fields of basic and applied research in particular nanotechnology.
    If you consider this direction of research interesting will you inform me, please. I am ready for discussion.

    Sincerely yours,
    prof. Victor S. Abrukov
