Design highly complex integrated circuits used in phones, smart TVs and PCs. This is the first in Latin America in designing systems on chip.   generate high-skill jobs.

The Minister of Industry, Debora Giorgi, visited the city of Bahia Blanca, where he inaugurated the local headquarters of Micro and Nano electronics Center Bicentennial National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI-CMNB).

This is the first aimed to design this type of technology in the country, which already has operational headquarters in Miguelete Technology Park , in the province of Buenos Aires.

This initiative aims to develop local production of highly complex integrated circuits, used in mobile phones, smart TVs, netbooks and notebooks, among other devices.

Giorgi said that "in 24 months, will be the first center in Latin America in designing systems on chip".

It is a joint project of public - private , as several businesses and chambers involved with economic and technical contributions (and then use this technology), while patents will be for the state. In addition, it will create a new center in Tierra del Fuego INTI.
