Ochanomizu University in Tokyo, one of the two state-run women's universities in Japan, has an opening for an associate professor in chemistry and its related fields. The position is limited to five years. It is related to a major five-year project financed by the Japanese government and aimed at internationalization in the natural sciences and mathematics. An important duty of the successful candidate will be to teach general chemistry to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in neighbouring fields such as physics and biology.
