Center for Nano and Material Sciences (CNMS) under Jain University has hosted a broad range of research investigations in nano science since its inception in diverse research areas, such as Catalysis and Membrane technology, Drug Discovery , Heterogeneous catalysis – energy, Electrochemistry & Analytical chemistry, nano structure hybrid functional material and devices. Scientist and engineers can take advantage of the wealth of facilities, capabilities, expertise , and personnel that CNMS has to offer, like :
Synthesis of organic and inorganic nanomaterials with specified functionality
Chemical and Biological analysis
Plastic electronic devices and solar energy conversion
Structural material and energy storage technology.

Centre for Nano and Material Science (CNMS) of the Jain University, Bangalore, INDIA seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor (Inorganic chemistry). The successful candidate will have a track-record of outstanding research. Candidates’ research should address .
Profile
•Candidates hold a PhD degree in Inorganic chemistry
•Candidates have at least three years of post-doctoral experience at the time of appointment preferable from US, Europe and Japan.
•Candidates are experienced in research in Inorganic chemistry, preferably in fields related to metal complexes and their application/analytical chemistry, as proven by recent publications in national and international peer reviewed journals and/or books, and by presentations and contributions on national and international scientific meetings.
•Candidates show sufficient training and knowledge in general/Inorganic/ analytical chemistry to teach basic courses in these disciplines.
•Candidates have the necessary didactic, organizational and communicative skills for teaching at an academic level.
•To have experience in leading research projects and/or coaching PhD students will be considered an asset.
•To have international academic experience will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities include establishing a vigorous research program, teaching graduate students, and providing professional/institutional services.
