The Quantum Device Lab at the ETH Zurich has an opening for a researcher position at the graduate or postgraduate level.

Description

The project is positioned in the field of quantum optics and quantum information science with a focus on the experimental implementation and characterization of geometric quantum gates with superconducting quantum devices to realize robust quantum algorithms by purely geometric means. This research project, managed by Dr. Stefan Filipp, is carried out in the Quantum Device Lab (http://www.qudev.ethz.ch) headed by Prof. Andreas Wallraff. The group conducts a wide range of activities in the field of micro- and nano-structured electronic devices and their interaction with classical and quantum electromagnetic fields. The successful candidate will also benefit from the stimulating scientific and collegial environment at the ETH Zurich (http://www.ethz.ch) and the activities of the National Center of Competence in Research ‘Quantum Science and Technology’ (http://www.nccr-qsit.ethz.ch) connecting a variety of research groups working in quantum science. To apply for the position please send your curriculum vitae, a publication list, a statement of research interests, including a short description of your background, motivation and skills (2 pages), and the names of three references to Stefan Filipp (qudevadm@phys.ethz.ch). Please also arrange for one letter of reference to be sent directly by email to the above address. The position is available immediately. Consideration of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. More information can be found at http://www.qudev.ethz.ch/positions.
