Zhejiang University invites applications for the 2014 Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships. Zhejiang University ranks TOP 3 in P.R. China.
The position will be assigned to Institute of Microelectronics and Optoelectronics at Department of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University. The position can be a Principal Investigator with NSFC and postdoc funding support from Chinese government. The position is collaborated with top researchers from University of Cambridge and Stanford University.

We have newly-built clean room (100-1000 level, 300 square meters) and all the standard instruments for micro-nano fabrication/characterization including EBL, EUV lithography (Karl Suss MA6), DIRE (Oxford Plasma lab system 100), ICP, Sputtering, ALD (Kurt J. Lesker), E-beam evaporator(Angstrom), graphene CVD, PECVD,AFM, SEM, Raman, RTP, XPS, Logic Analyzer (Tektronix TLA 6202),low-temperature probe station, Network Analyzer (R&S ZVA67, 67GHz), Keyence con-focal microscope, etc.

We seek candidates with interdisciplinary research interests in electrical engineering, physics and material sciences, in particular in the area of solid state electronic devices and sensors.

Qualifications:
The candidate should have a PhD degree from TOP 100 World University.

The position involves graphene and silicon electronic nano-devices and sensors.

The successful candidate should hold a PhD in Physics, EE, Materials Science, Chemistry, or another related field, preferably with the following skills:
• Hands-on experience in graphene, silicon or III-V electronic devices.
• Knowledge of solid state electronics, semiconductor physics, clean-room experience.
• Ability to independently conduct research.

Compensation and benefits:

•Annual salary (USD $ 50,000 per year = RMB 300,000 per year).
•Compensation includes housing (one or two bedroom apartment) subsidized by the university, tax-refund (for a non-Chinese citizen) and other standard fringe benefits.
•After two years of this post-doc experience, the excellent qualified candidate can be promoted to a tenure-track assistant professor at Zhejiang University with starting USD$60K annual salary.
•Principal investigator (PI) of China/provincial postdoctoral science foundation (USD $25,000) provided by the University and Chinese government (Additional Application is needed).
•One graduate student will be assigned to you as your Research Assistants
