CR BEOL Integration Engineer - 721730

Description

In this position as BEOL Integration Engineer in Components Research, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Design, model and characterize novel integration schemes, new materials and technologies for future high-speed and low-power nano-electronic applications.
- Work with process module, process integration and circuit research teams to research, develop and demonstrate functional devices on coupons and 300mm substrates.
- Mentor and offer scientific guidance to technicians developing novel tools and methods of metrology/analysis.

Qualifications

This is an entry level position for technical college graduates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Chemistry, Physics or Chemical Engineering.

Additional qualifications include:
- Solid, diverse, technical and practical knowledge of semiconductor physics or interconnects used in state of the art semiconductor devices.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge about processing of semiconductor materials or their electrical characterization as obtained through university courses or Ph.D. research or similar relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Theoretical knowledge of and proficiency operating semiconductor analytical tools/techniques relevant to nanodevice fabrication and characterization e.g. electron/ray optics, and microscopy.
- Experimental expertise in material or electrical characterization of semiconducting, conducting or insulating materials used in state-of-the-art semiconductor device
- Experience with device or interconnect structure fabrication and testing.
- Experimental expertise or hands-on with semiconductor processing in lab setting.
- Three (3) or more 1st author publications.
- Unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
