Center of Applied Microfluidic Chemistry, POSTECH (Pohang, Korea) is looking for a full-time post doctoral researcher(s) with strong ambition who are able to work for publications at global top elite journals. The position is initially for two years contract base, which can be extended further on mutual understanding.
Area of Research:
- Design and synthesis of novel nano-catalyst (GO, Zeolite, MOF, metallic NPs, etc)
- Biomass Conversion to valuable chemicals from various sources (carbohydrate, cellulose, lignin, glycerol, algal oil, CO2)
- Integrated microfluidic synthetic process
Qualifications
• Ph. D. in the area of catalytic synthesis of organics or/and polymers.
• Published a paper or more with high IF journal as a first author
• Prior exposure to microfluidics techniques, biomass will be preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, sound organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible approach to equipment use and maintenance.
• Ability to learn new skills and use new technologies.
SALARY
 Starting salary: 2.0 million Korean Won per month (~2,000USD)
 Extra benefits: health & other insurances, a month of extra salary per year for preserved retirement allowance
 Publication Incentives [(impact factor-5.0)/5 × 1million won]
 2 weeks paid break per year
