The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the area of Nanoelectronic Devices and Systems.

The candidates should have a PhD degree, a strong commitment to both undergraduate and graduate teaching, a proven research record and the ability to establish an independent research program. Applications are welcome from candidates with research experience and interests in the following technical areas that include, but are not limited to, nanoelectronics, microelectronics, optoelectronics, power semiconductor devices, energy-efficient electronic devices, novel solid state devices, integrated sensors and integrated micro/nano-systems. Of particular interest are research activities that are related to applications in green information technologies and communication systems; smart grid, the integration of alternate electric energy sources, and electric transportation vehicles; and health/biomedical device and system applications.

The successful candidate will be a member of Lehigh’s new “Center for Nanoelectronics and Photonics” (CPN) and is expected to have a positive impact on CPN’s research activities, to interact with other disciplines in engineering and the physical sciences, to advance enabling technologies and systems-level integration in a broad range of applications, and to impact one or more of Lehigh’s priority research areas in: Energy and the Environment, Health and Healthcare Applications, Infrastructure, Nanotechnology, and High Performance Computing.
