Entanglement in Nano Science and Art of visual perception
Entanglement is the quintessential quantum phenomenon. It is a necessary ingredient in most emerging quantum technologies.As a matter of facts the great mysteries in the way we understand the physical world is a quantum phenomenon called "entanglement". Entanglement is a manifestation of a basic property of the physical world in the nano-dimension. We are used to think in the macroscopic world of an object occupying a specific position, but in the quantum world starting from th nano-scale we do not try to check the object's position because it is "non-local" - e.g. it's exact position of nano-particles is not well defined but can be many positions at the same time. One of the consequences of this non-locality is that a few quantum objects can exist together as an overposition in the same "quantum entangled state" even if separated by a remote distance.Because our perception is made through the interactivity of multi-photons in the nano-dimension of the retina the generation and study of "entangled quantum states" is crucial for understanding the effective foundations of our perception in the quantum physical world.
