Like every living being or institution ASDN has its history which will be written on this page with life going on (at atomic and nano scale!).
ASDN history starts in the previous millennium. At the E-MRS (European material Research Society) meeting in Strasbourg in 1999, Anatoli Korkin (he was at Motorola at that prehistoric time) had presented the idea of a web site and mailing list (the term "web portal" was not yet popular at that…

Nano research looks like an area in which many specialisations are involved, in chemistry, physics, biology and so on. The work is likely to be scattered across many journals in the natural and physical sciences. Or unrelated papers may be united in nano-scale journals (those with very small readership) that attempt to create a single field on the theme of nanoscale phenomena.
I am not a worker in this area, but am curious to know what…

The invention of some simple but fascinating tools commonly referred to as Scanning Probe Microscopes (SPM) has led to the visualization and manipulation of matter at the atomic scale. Scanning Probe Microscopy is an outstanding development that has brought Nanoscience and Nanotechnology to the forefront of our research today. These tools have represented a revolution in the working methods of hundreds of research labs around the world in a…

Each face is made of approximately 150 million tiny carbon nanotubes; that's about how many Americans voted on November 4.
How they are make?:
The nanobama structures are made of carbon nanotubes, and the pictures were taken using optical and electron microscopes. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are tiny hollow cylinders of…
