Postdoctoral position: Nanoelectromechanical switch devices for logic application

There is an imm

ediate opening for a postdoctoral research position in the nanofabrication group at the IBM Research – Zurich laboratory for research on nanoelectromechanical (NEM) switch devices for logic applications.

To overcome the power issue of current CMOS technology, the microelectronic industry needs radically new devices that drastically improve the energy efficiency of microelectronic systems. One promising — yet still largely unexplored — technology is…

Raman scattering at pure graphene zigzag edges

Theory has predicted rich and very distinct physics for graphene nanodevices with boundaries that follow either the armchair or the zigzag crystallographic directions. We have demonstrated that hexagonal

holes obtained by anisotropic etching of graphene are bounded

predominantly by zigzag edges which do not contribute to the D peak in

Raman spectroscopy.

Yearly review of OLED technology

We have published our yearly review of OLED technology. 2010 was the year where OLEDs (and Super-AMOLEDs) made their great breakout with lot's of high-end phones from Samsung, Nokia, Dell, HTC and Google. It was also the year of OLED supply problems, OLED-TV standstill and OLED-Lighting research.

We also write our own predictions for 2011... Hopefully you'll consider this interesting for your readers...…

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
