PhD position: Liquid Crystalline organic semiconductors for applications in electronics: alignment under nano-confinement

The thesis work will be focused on structural studies of small discotic molecules and conjugated oligomers, which are promising candidates for organic electronics. The candidate will search to improve the charge carrier mobilities by inducing alignment of organic semiconductors within porous matrices having nanometer-sized pores. The structural analysis will be carried out in IS2M as well as on synchrotrons in Europe and US.
