New Generation Transparent Electrode Materials Replacing ITO

Recently, the most unforgettable situation that arises in our eyes is that new generation transparent electrode materials will replace ITO, which seems to be common around us but quite important to our area. There is no denying that recent few years has witnessed a phenomenon of new generation transparent electrode materials replacing ITO which has induced heightened concerns to nano market.Over these years, the living standards have greatly…

The Flexible Transparent Electrode of Low Haze (<1.5%) Based on KeChuang’s Silver Nanowires (Ave. D=35~55nm) Has Been Successfully in Volume Production.

Recently, Zhejiang Kechuang Advanced Materials Company successfully achieved a large scale production of silver nanowires with Ave. D=35~55nm, which have been successfully used in the low haze of flexible transparent electrode.

At present, silver nanowires with Ave. D=35~55nm, and Ave. L=5~15um have been successfully used in the production of flexible transparent electrode in several multinational corporations. Through testing, using this model AW030 of silver nanowires, the…

HP developed a new technology for producing large flexible OLED panels cheaply

HP has developed a new method to produce large AMOLED panels, based on roll-to-rol manufacturing. They say that one of the biggest challenges to make flexible OLEDs is the alignment on large area flexible substrates. The new solution uses self-aligned imprint lithography (SAIL) to laminate a well-defined micro OLED (焜LED) frontplane unto a flexible active matrix amorphous silicon TFT backplane.

HP says they already built a proof-of-concept AMOLED device. The company claims that the… Continue

MIT wants to make a one-kilometer square sheet of graphene

MIT's new Center for Graphene Devices and Systems (MIT-CG) has an ambitious plan - to produce a one-kilometer square sheet of graphene. They are currently starting to develop the basic science and technology - which is based on the printing press. The idea is to grow graphene in a roll to roll process. MIT hopes that if they manage to develop this technology they'll enable a whole new graphene industry.

Currently they've been able to grow small sheets only using this technology (a… Continue

The nano-style art

Nanopainters, nanolandscapes and nanosculptures… all these terms are not an obvious attempt to follow the fashion, they are taken from vocabulary of follows of a new artistic trend – NanoArt. Its creator - Cris Orfescu – has shared with the “Rossiiskie nanotechnologii” his methodology and philosophy. There is no need for brushes or paints, or artistic design, but one can’t do without “his majesty” incident and a powerful microscope.…

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
