What Drives the Regulation of Nanomaterials?

There are many influences on regulatory policies for chemicals and

nanomaterials and it's important for us to understand the dynamics

affecting the regulatory process. Regulatory policy and the development

of science-based regulations can often be a complex give and take among

producers and users, government regulators and the public.

Just say no to sunscreen nanophobia

Once again we’re at a pivotal point in human development, where a novel technology might allow us to improve the lot of millions, perhaps billions of people across the globe and yet activists are invoking the precautionary principle and informing consumers of the possible dangers therein. As happened with vaccines, nuclear energy, genetically modified… Continue

Nano-Energy Workshop 2010

Lehigh University - Iacocca Hall

September 13-14, 2010

The unprecedented surge in global energy consumption and increased awareness of climate change have pushed energy and the environment to the forefront of public debate. Over the next quarter century, it is

estimated that some $20 trillion in capital investment will be required to meet worldwide energy demand. For scientists and engineers, satisfying that demand while protecting the… Continue

Where is the beef?

Frankly people use any title for their book, meanigful or not, to say they have answers to every thing under the sun. I just saw your listing of the so called "PRINCIPLES OF NANOSCIENCE AND NANOTECHNOLOGY" by Shah and Ahmad and when I look at the list there was no principles presented, but a bunch of non-nano and none stuff listed like "Electron Microscopy / X-ray Crystallography /,Spectroscopy Techniques". May be some one should tell the authors "shame on you where is the… Continue

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
