Graphene can be used to distill Alcohol, make drinks stronger...

A team of researchers led by Professor Sir Andre Geim demonstrated a graphene-Oxide based membrane that is impermeable to all gases and liquids (i.e. it's vacuum-tight) - but water can evaporate though it as if there's no membrane at all. This membrane can be used to remove water from a mixture or container. The team sealed a bottle of Vodka with such a membrane and this resulted in water evaporating - and the drink became stronger with time:…

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Dr. András Paszternák, founder of Nanopaprika
