Profile Information

I am...
Chemist, Physicist, Biologist, Engineer
My research field or area of interest innanotechnology
Shanghai Taikang Nanochemistry Technology Limited is one new company which is specialized in nanochemistry technology developing, research and production. Our main product is nanoparticl drug carriers- hydroxylapatite(HAP).
Our product used for Toothpaste, Food, Simple Artificial bones, Artificial bones, Medical devices and Bone coating, especially as an new bone substitutes.

HAP have good histocompatibility, non-toxic, non-immunogenic, and high surface area, strong bioadhesive, to combine and transfer macromolecular drugs, large amount of adsorbed drug, with the basic requirements of the drug carrier.
Hydroxyapatite as drug carrier system can enhance the permeability of drugs in biological membrane, and that is good for drug transdermal absorption and exert its effects within the cell.

Nano hydroxyapatite as drug carrier is very safe, because its ingredient is same with bones and teeth of people or animal, and will not dissolving into gastrointestinal fluid, it will be degradation absorbed or delivered to body outside after drug released. Besides, nano hydroxyapatite could be added radioactive element easily in the process of production, can be used for cancer inactivated

Our Nano-HAP products with different applications as following:

Apperance Partical size (nm) Purity(%) Usage

needle-like 60nm 96% food,toothpaste
needle-like 40nm 96% general,proteinisolate
needle-like 20nm 97.5% artificial bone
needle-like 20nm(W),150nm(L) 99% artificial bone (high pure)
short clavite 30nm(W),100nm(L) 99% artificial bone,artificial joint

fibrous 10nm(W),500nm(L) 99% artificial bone,artificial joint
globular 12um 99% artificial bone coating
needle-like 12um 96% food,toothpaste

Research in nanotechnology to prevent AIDS

Posted on December 29, 2009 at 2:46pm 0 Comments

Now, India and Australia have joined hands in collaborative research for using nanotechnology in renewable energy and family planning methods, including prevention of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS.

According to Dr S Bandyopadhyay, associate professor and nanotechnology specialist, School of Material Science and Technology, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, the collaborative research has started under Australia India Science Research Funding (AISRF) programme, where both the governments will be spending 50 million Australian dollars in five years (one million Australian dollars annually).

Nanocomposites could change diabetes treatment

Ontario, Canada | Posted on December 27th, 2009

The non-invasive technology, developed by Chemical and Biochemical Engineering professor Jin Zhang at The University of Western Ontario, uses extremely small nanoparticles embedded into the hydrogel lenses. These engineered nanoparticles react with glucose molecules found in tears, causing a chemical reaction that changes their colour.

Zhang received $216,342 from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) today (Dec. 16) to further develop technologies using multifunctional nanocomposites.

These technologies have vast potential applications beyond biomedical devices, including for food packaging. For example, nanocomposite films can prevent food spoilage by preventing oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture from reaching fresh meats and other foods, or by measuring pathogenic contamination; others can make packaging increasingly biodegradable.

Overall, Western was awarded $2,659,595 for 12 projects from the CFI's Leaders Opportunity Fund today.

Other CFI funded research projects include:

• A Live-Cell Fluorescent Imaging and Proteomic Laboratory for Studying Proteins Implicated in Aging and Neurodegenerative Diseases - $169,304

• A Novel High Speed Optical Flow Measurement System - $201,189

• Cellular Reprogramming Laboratory to Evaluate Epigenetic Programming Events During Development and in the Generation of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells - $208,254

• Center for Study of Whole Body Vibration - $251,423

• Development of a Quantitative Laser Imaging Platform for Plant Canopies - $275,200

• Imaging Platform with Scanning Probe Microscopy: Unveiling and Manipulating Nature's Form and Function at the Nanoscale - $198,679

• Laboratory for the Assessment of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Phenotypes in Genetically Modified Mice - $193,593

• Laboratory of Neurochemistry of Dementia -… Continue

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
