This course gives a broad overview on proper-ties and fabrication processes of nano-materials. Especially mechanical, optical, magnetic, and electric properties are taught. Phases, phase transformations, and related ühenomena as function of the particle size are discussed in detail. This is always done in view of technical applications. Therefore, ex-amples, such as nanofluids, superparamagnet-ic cooling, self-cleaning surfaces, or nanomo-tors, introducing to the wide field of nano-technology…See More

The 5th International Meeting on Developments in Materials, Processes and Applications of Emerging Technologies (MPA) will be held in Alvor-Algarve (Portugal) during 28-30 June 2011. MPA 2011 will be the fifth event of the MPA meeting series. The first meeting (MPA-2007) was in 2007 and held at the University of Ulster (Belfast), which officially launched the Society of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology to the international community. The topics for MPA 2011 include: 1. Commercialisation of…See More
Nanoscience relates to the synthesis, characterization, exploration, interrogation, exploitation and utilization of nanostructured materials.Such nanostructured systems constitute a bridge between singlemolecules and infinite bulk systems. Applications of nanomaterials beinginvestigated worldwide primarily focus on higher performance materials, for photonics, nano-electronics, biomedical, energy, instrumentation andtools. This is mainly due to promising properties shown by differenttypes of…See More

Nanotechnology Simulation and analysis
I am very interested in Computer Science from nanotechnology approach, so, I wonder a day when I become a guru at Computational Modeling and Simulation (all related to Nanotechnology) performing Key calculations performed on IBM supercomputers, developing and applying advanced software tools, simulation methods, multi-scale modelling methods and algorithms to support and guide the development activities in Nanotechnology Research. I wish I can work on understanding of key questions that could be solved through computational modeling (all related to Nanotechnology). I wish I can be able to perform simulations on the IBM BlueGene supercomputer.

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.
There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
