What Drives the Regulation of Nanomaterials?

Posted on July 27, 2010 at 9:40pm 0 Comments

There are many influences on regulatory policies for chemicals and

nanomaterials and it's important for us to understand the dynamics

affecting the regulatory process. Regulatory policy and the development

of science-based regulations can often be a complex give and take among

producers and users, government regulators and the public.

2010 To Be a Busy Year for Regulation of Nanotechnology

Posted on April 16, 2010 at 6:10pm 0 Comments

On April 15th congressional leaders were busy

announcing legislation to tighten chemical regulatory policy in the U.S.

The House of Representatives released a discussion draft of legislation

to revise the Toxic Substances Control Act while the Senate released a

draft bill to enact changes to the primary chemical control law that has

been in effect since 1976. The draft legislation would appear to steer

away from nano-specific regulations but…

The Intersection of Nanotechnology and Chemical Regulatory Policy - Nanotechnology Regulation has arrived!

Posted on April 1, 2010 at 11:45pm 1 Comment

The most important chemical substance regulatory statute in the U.S. is
now facing challenges in many ways and some are wondering if
nanotechnology is fueling the fire for change. The Environmental
Protection Agency has moved beyond voluntary programs and took several
regulatory enforcement actions which portend an even more aggressive
approach toward the regulation of nanomaterials in 2010. For full column

Dr. Prashant Kumar
dear prof/reseracher, Its prashant kumar, submitting my ph.d thesis on non-lithographic techniques of surface nanostructuring in december 2008 at university of hyderabad. I have experience of thin film coating, synthesis of nanowires, nanodots and characterization by AFM, SEM, VSM, PL spectra, MR measurements, surface plasmons etc and I seek post-doctoral post and for that I require your help, plz. convey to me if you find anything interestin. or else plz. advise how to get into the grove.

welcome to the nanoscience community

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
