My research field or area of interest innanotechnology
My area of research includes: Nanotechnology, biotechnology, protein-biochemistry, drug release and delivery, interactions involving biomolecules and surfactants, thermodynamic study on physicochemical properties of solutions, colloid chemistry, protein aggregation, protein-nanoparticle interactions.
Currently, I am working on the synthesis, characterization and applications of silver and gold nanoparticles. My research focus is on the basic mechanisms responsible for their vast properties and variable applications as anti-cancer agent, materials for drug and gene delivery, catalyst for organic dye degradation, sensors for detecting Hg, As, Pb and Cu in water.
