Dear Stephan,

Thank you for your nice answer

Dear Majid,
as you correctly mentioned, all plasmon resonant materials show size-dependent colour, especially with sizes above 20 nm; clearly visible for sizes above 40 nm. In the case of Cu and Ti, it is more complicated, since oxide shell contributes to the colour (e.g., Ti in Acetone is gray, whereas blue in water).
Regards, Stephan

Dear Stephan,

This difference between colours of Au, Ag, Cu, and Ti solutions is only depend to their size or nature of metals?
because some times one metal nanoparticles e.g. Au show different colour at different size.

Thank you,

Welcome

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
