The material was porcine type I collagen on Poly(DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) freeze dried.
Details:
A PLGA film was prepared by casting PLGA solution in chloroform at a concentration of 27 (w/v) % on cover glass (diameter, 18 mm), and then annealed at 60C for 24h. The PLGA films were immersed in type I collagen acidic solution (0.5 %, pH 3) under reduced pressure, centrifuged at 1200 G for 10 min at 4C, and then vacuum-dried or freeze-dried.
In fact this sample was unusual, something went wrong in the process, typically we get flat samples after preparation in such a way. But there is nice image.

i have the TEM picture of the collagen, its very similar to yours, i need some info, could you reply ASAP
