Using aqueous colloid I managed to make an ultra thin film using a polyelectrolyte, I tried by drop-casting technique, but is difficult. May be if you consult this papers you can found any response. I consider that is possible to apply by spin coating technique. Is the layer-by-layer technique by using oppositely charged polyelectrolites.

Its luminescence is very striking, I had some problems to get a minor Stokes shift. But, I´m surprised that they are highly luminescent.
