Thank you for bringing this article to everyones attention. I read it last week. Very good coverage. I'm longtime subscriber to Scientific American. It is good magazine. I really think it is getting better. They inform the reader of complex subjects in an easier to understand format.
Indeed; science for the masses! I agree, it's suitable for the professional and the general populace. I'm a newer subscriber (made no economic sense for me to continue paying monthly full cover price off the newstand, when a 51% discount is offered).
