It is time to introduce nanotechnology into Africa, where even the field of nanotechnology is not integrated into most African countries educational  system yet.

Nanotechnology refers to research and technology development at the atomic, molecular, and macromolecular scale, leading to the controlled manipulation and study of structures and devices with length scales in the 1 to 100 nanometers range. Objects at this scale, such as “nanoparticles,” have novel properties and functions that differ markedly from those seen in the bulk scale.

Nanotechnology has achieved the status as one of the critical research endeavors of the early 21st century, as scientists studies the unique properties of atomic and molecular assemblages built at the nanometer scale.

Our rule as a network is to co-operate together to achieve our scientific gools in all aspects and fields of nanotechnology and introduce its benefits to the Arabic socity.

The Nanoscientists

This network idea goes around establishing a network of students from their early stages in primary school till professors in universities and decision makers in industrial and social organizations for all who are interested in nanotechnology so we can bring up generations who can apply this innovative technology for the welfare of human being especially for those in the Arab and/or African region. This technology is the ideal one for poor countries which annoy from poverty, water problems, food problems and Information technology challenges. All these problems and more can be solved through this technology which needs just few resources to be applied. Educational and training programs as well as social workshops in preparation and application of nanomodels must be organized after categorization of all who would like to join this network either as trainers, trainees, volunteers and sponsors to achieve the goal of establishing a collaborative network of all those who can make any role to apply nanotechnology.

we are establishing now Nakaa Nanotechnology Network Nanoscientists Database. It contains 2 categeories:

Category 1:

Nanoexperts which have worked or studied nanotechnology and nanoscience in all scientific fields

Category 2:

Those interested to study and work in nanotechnology and have no pervious experience

If you are really interested to join our network database, please send the following to our email:

nakaa.nanotechnology.network@gmail.com

1. your CV
2. your job descripition
3. brief description for your nanotechnology activity if present (Category 1)
4. brief description for field of interest in nanoscience or nanotechnology (Category 2)

TECNAN produces on large-scale simple, mixed and doped nano-oxides as well as other high performance nanoproducts for multisectoral applications (automotive catalysts, energy sector, construction of gas and pollutant sensors, photo-catalysts, electronic and photovoltaic materials, cosmetic, paint and varnish, etc.), establishing TECNAN as one of the most competitive suppliers of these new materials worldwide.

Products:
- Nano-powders: More than 60 elements of the periodic system are produced in a clean and environmentally friendly way, obtaining products with high quality and purity, very small size (7-25 nm) and with multisectoral applications.

- Dispersions: All the nano-powders are available in homogeneous dispersions, with outstanding stability in different media such as water, alcohols and other solvents, both in standard concentrations and tailored to the client specific requirements. Also TECNAN has developed a range of innovative products with hydrophobic and (super) hydrophilic effect, ready to be applied directly on different substrates.

- Masterbatches: TECNAN is highly skilled regarding incorporation of diverse nanofillers into polymeric matrices in order to obtain optimised properties for a broad spectrum of plastic materials such as polyethylene, both high and low density, polypropylene, EVA, rubber, etc.
TECNAN is strongly supported by the innovative technologies developed in LUREDERRA Technological Center, a R+D+i organism where new products are developed and customised to the needs of the clients. L’Urederra has also gained a reputation of excellence at European level, being at the moment the coordinator of three projects within the European Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development, and also participating in many other activities of international research.

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at editor@nanopaprika.eu
