Dear Andras, thanks for your link about nanomodeler. I knew this software already but there are two problems: 1. this software is not for free download just for free demo! if you want to use its full format then for individual user we need to pay 49.50 usd!
also the second problem is that it is not possible to for example cut the structure of CNTs and graphenes or to design defects and atomic bonds. it has not those features unfortunately which I need. any other links and advices will be appreciated. thanks

Dear Colleagues, I will appreciate if anyone knows any available free download softwate where I can use to desgin carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets for demostration and research use?
I simplely look for a free download software that can be able to design and cut individual bonds and atoms of carbon nanotubes for defect structural modelling purpose. thanks alot for your valuable efforts.

carbon nanotubes are comercializer bye many companies the famous one is sigma-aldrich (www.sigmaaldrich.com) ,enter to the site and search carbon nanotubes you'll found prices and quantities,from it we bayed them but the better is that you try to produce them using graphite it can be more if you have technics in your lab or other lab in your country.
i sudied their optical,electronical and structural... properties during my master i'm in your service for any help.

Hi

I have a strong wish to collaborate or work with group to prepare a PhD thesis in a related subject with nanosciences and nanotechnologies.

I’m KHENFOUCH MOHAMMED, PhD student from morocco (Physics of solid state Laboratory-university of Fes).

I started preparing a PhD thesis last year exactly on may 2009, and now I had my registration for the second year, choosing the subject:
Physical and chemical study of graphene based nanocomposites for opto-electronic applications.

I want add that my master degree title is:
Physics of materials and nanostructures

In the related traineeship I studied:
Experimental and theoretical study of the vibrational and electronic properties of the carbon nanotubes.

In other traineeship :
Which I had during three months in Ithemba Labs in collaboration with the African Laser Center (ALC) nanosciences African network in South Africa, I studied:
“Photonics and transport properties of graphene polymer-based nano-composites by electro spinning”.

Knowledge:
I have good background about :
- polymer semiconductors and organic nanomaterials properties
- Physics of semi-conductors and Nanomaterials
- Nano-optic and photonics
- Plasma physics and tokamak application
- Physics of polymers, surfaces and interfaces
- Nano-films elaboration technics
- Carbon nanotubes synthesis, properties, simulation, and applications
- Graphene synthesis and properties
- Nanomagnetism and Spintronic
- Nanosensors
- Statistical physics and phases transitions
- Quantum mechanics and groups theory
- Programming using Matlab software …

Characterisation technics:
I used AFM, RAMAN, Infrared, SEM, XRD, and TG-DTA, and I have a good knowledge about XPS, Auger and STM.

NB:
- The graphene used in this study was my synthesis using chemical method.

toxic nature of nanotubes is a concen, but it has to be established which material nanotube are really toxic. before emloying the nanotube product in any sense related to food or cloth or sending to blood, its toxicity has to be checked. as a matter of fact, NIST or similar organization should take up the task of establishing such standards of harm to health concerns. again thanks editor.
