  • For the fees structure and the scholarships, a little homework from you is required :). But I must warn you that scholarships are not that good in the US. For example, the University of Minnesota has clearly mentioned in their website that graduate students must have a sound financial backup before they enroll for the masters courses.

  • If you are interested in the Bio Medical side, you can check out the M.Tech. in Nanotechnology offered by the Amrita University, Kochi campus, Kerala.

You can also check out JNCASR, NIT Calicut, IITs and IISc.

I've heard that Amity University too offers good course in the M.Tech.

Check out TIFR, Anna University. I am not sure about the University of Madras.

If you would like to look outside India, you have a host of good universities.

Check out the the University of Twente, Netherlands.
    EPFL and ETH, Switzerland.
    KTH and Chalmers, Sweden.
    Eidhoven University, Netherlands.

US undoubtedly has many pioneering institutions. Check out the website http://www.petersons.com. They provide the list of universities and the courses offered in the US and Canada.

Hope this is a good list for you.
