You could use cysteine as a ligand. Navarro did a study that used cysteine to eliminate Ag+ ions.

to get biopure nps centrifuge 4-5 times , remove the supernatant and centrifuge again by adding millipore water ,,,dis will help you reduce the concentration of ag+ ions by 96% ...

few drops of NaBH4 will reduce everything...
