To calculate optical band gap of TiO2 Thin film from transmission spectra for thati want to know formula for absorption coefficient. I got a formula like this absorption coefficient= 1/d*ln(1/T).
The problem is if i calculate ln(1/T) im getting value in negative whether its right or wrong

Absorption coefficient
alpha=2.303*(1/T)/t
Where 'T' is the transmission and 't' is the thickness of the films.
Do the calculation again and if the problem persist again let me know. Happy to help you.
