I found this information in the electronic newsletter of our friends from NanoMedicine News. Though some of our members may be interested in this project.
Québec: Biosensors research projects wanted
NanoQuébec and two of its Canadian partners are launching a collaborative support program to fund research projects addressing targeted issues in health detection and diagnostics using biosensors and comprising a significant nanoscience and nanotechnology component. The objective of this program is to help the emergence of nanotechnologies in the field of biosensors related, for example, to the detection of biological pathogen agents or toxic chemicals and/or diagnostics and in situ health monitoring (human, animal or environmental). The program envelope is at least 1 500 000 $ and no more than 2 000 000 $. Apart from NanoQuébec, financial partners that shown interest in this initiative are the Canadian Space Agency and the Canadian Institute for Photonic Innovations (CIPI). Letter of intent should be sent before June 20th, 200,8 and detailed submission before October 1st 2008. Selected projects will be announced November, 2008.

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.
There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!
Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
