Event Description

ENF2013, 20th June, Dublin

Nanofutures and Nanomanufacturing
Chair: Paula Queipo Rodríguez, Fundacion PRODINTEC, Spain

The workshop will start with an overview about the European nanotechnology roadmap. The presentation offers deep insights towards the different value chains and include the latest feedback of Europen industries for a fast implementation of research results.
Speakers from industry and academia will present case studies and will show how nanotechnologies will have an important role particular for classical industries will be shown by case studies in a wide range of industries.

Chair: Andrea E. Reinhardt, ntc gmbh/nanofutures a.s.b.l/microTEC Germany

Communication and education are essential basics for any technology break through. How Europe is able to attract and develop multi skilled scientists with an entrepreneurial spirit will set the framework for success stories also in the field of Nanotechnologies.

Moreover, history taught us that technology acceptance need involvement of the public at earliest stage, thus, all is about answering needs and respect environment, particular health and security aspects.

This workshop will present an overview about latest developments in education and communication, including main findings from projects dealing with transversal nano issues from different perspectives:
industry and education, gender and science careers, channels of debate, evaluation of the outreach, dialogue, or public engagement.

Welcome - about us

Welcome! Nanopaprika was cooked up by Hungarian chemistry PhD student in 2007. The main idea was to create something more personal than the other nano networks already on the Internet. Community is open to everyone from post-doctorial researchers and professors to students everywhere.

There is only one important assumption: you have to be interested in nano!

Nanopaprika is always looking for new partners, if you have any idea, contact me at
